Season 3

The Doctor, continuing his travels through time and space, suffers a number of losses. Vicki leaves the TARDIS to stay in Troy with her new love, Katarina sacrifices herself to save him, Sara turns to dust as he watches, Steven leaves to help an alien race and Dodo leaves without so much as a goodbye.
